ST. LOUIS -- Saint Louis senior middle blocker Lauren Leverenz is the Atlantic 10 Conference volleyball co-Player of the Week for Oct. 2-8, the league office announced Monday.

 

Leverenz and her teammates won two A-10 road matches last week, defeating Rhode Island 3-1 and Fordham 3-2. She led the team with a .533 hitting percentage, with 36 kills (4.00/set) and only four errors in 60 attempts. Leverenz accounted for a team-high 45 points and also was the team leader in blocks with nine (1.00/set).

 

Leverenz turned in match highs in attack percentage (.625, 17-2-24), service aces (four) and points (22.5) at Rhode Island. In the Fordham contest, she had match bests in attack percentage (.472, 19-2-36), kills, blocks (six) and points (22.5).

 

Leverenz leads Saint Louis in attack percentage (.335) and blocks (53).

 

The Billikens, who have won four straight and six of their last seven matches, are in third place in the A-10 with a 4-1 conference record. SLU plays at Dayton Friday night in its only match this week.
