BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Saint Louis opened its indoor track and field campaign, competing at the Illinois Wesleyan First Chance Meet at the Shirk Center.

There were several PRs and school records met at the meet. Freshman Alex Oleson registered the school record in the high jump, posting a mark of 6-6.65 meters. Sophomore Ethan Erusha's jump of 44-6.75 in the triple jump was also a school record.

There were several first-place finishes for the Billikens. On the men's side, Tannock Blair won the mile by a wide margin, finishing in 4:17.46.

On the women's side, junior Avery Pacella was the top collegiate finisher in the 200 meters with a time of 26.80. Freshman Katie Wissing took home the individual titles in the long jump (17-9) and triple jump (37-9.25), while freshman Allyson Stanley won the high jump (5-2.25).

The Billikens are in action again next week at the Hoosier Open and Saluki Fast Start.
