ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis is the No. 7 seed for the 40th annual Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Tennis Championship, scheduled for Thursday-Sunday, April 26-29, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

SLU (8-9) will face No. 10 Fordham (14-6) in the first round of the single-elimination tournament Thursday at 11 a.m. (CT). A victory over the Rams would match the Billikens against No. 2 seed Davidson (15-6), one of four teams to receive a first-round bye, in Friday’s quarterfinals at 11 a.m.

Should they advance, the Bills would play in the semifinals Saturday at 9 a.m. Sunday’s title match, the winner of which receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship, also begins at 9 a.m.

Top-seeded and defending champion VCU (13-9), No. 3 Dayton (16-6) and No. 4 George Washington (6-17) also received first-round byes. In addition to the SLU-Fordham contest, other first-round matches are No. 5 Richmond (12-10) vs. No. 12 La Salle (5-17); No. 6 Duquesne (12-7) vs. No. 11 St. Bonaventure (3-16); and No. 8 George Mason (8-14) vs. No. 9 Saint Joseph’s (7-13).
