ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 7-seeded Saint Louis men’s tennis team concluded its season with a 4-0 loss to No. 2 Davidson in an Atlantic 10 Conference Championship quarterfinal match Friday afternoon at the USTA National Campus.
The Billikens finished the season 9-10. Davidson advances to the semifinals with a 16-6 record.
Davidson captured the doubles point, but not without a fight. After the Wildcats won at No. 3, John Nogalski and Justin Nogalski claimed a 6-4 win over David Hager and Shamael Chaudhry at No. 2. However, Davidson took the No. 1 match and a 1-0 lead.
In singles, Davidson won at No. 2, No. 6 and No. 1 to clinch the match.
