The Billikens host the Davidson Wildcats on Friday, May 4 thru Sunday, May 7 at the Billiken Sports Center in a battle between the top two squads in the Atlantic 10. Saint Louis enters the weekend 3.5 games ahead of Davidson with three games in hand.

Saint Louis has swept all but one A-10 series in 2018 as they enter the final month of regular season play. The Billikens have swept their last three series with wins over La Salle, Dayton and UMass.

The Billikens have seen the emergence of Jake Garella in 2018 as the sophomore has quickly become one of the most exciting emerging talents in the Atlantic 10. The right fielder leads the team with a .339 average

The Billiken starters have arguably been the key to the success in the A-10 schedule in 2018. Miller Hogan has one of the top ERA’s in the nation entering Friday with a 1.90. Jackson Wark’s eight victories put him among the elite starting pitchers in the nation and Drew Reveno may be one of the most effective Sunday starters in the country with a 2.20 ERA and seven wins to his credit.

Saint Louis remains a top 15 team in the nation in doubles with 97 on the year. The Billikens are averaging 2.20 doubles per game. Parker Sniatynski and Alex King are five doubles away from tying the all-time doubles record in a season (21).

Davidson enters the weekend winners of three of its last four contests and will look to be just the second team to snag a win from the Billikens in the Atlantic 10.

The Wildcats took two of three from the VCU Rams a week ago and grabbed a walk-off winner in the bottom of the ninth against Charleston Southern on Wednesday thanks to an Alec Acosta RBI single.

First baseman Eric Jones leads the offense with a .354 average, .628 slugging percentage, 10 home runs, 13 doubles and 56 RBI. As a team, Davidson is hitting .276 on the year.

The Wildcat pitching staff has been effective in 2018 and is second to only Saint Louis in ERA (3.49) and total earned runs (147).

Allen Barry is tied with Miller Hogan and Drew Reveno with seven wins this season.
