ST. LOUIS -- Senior pitcher Maddie Baalman and senior third baseman Allie Macfarlane of the Saint Louis softball team were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship All-Tournament team.

Baalman turned in a 1.34 ERA while appearing in all three of the Billikens’ tournament games, including two starts. She registered a 5-2 victory over George Mason in the opening round, striking out eight and allowing only one earned run in eight innings. Baalman was the tough-luck losing pitcher against Dayton, yielding just four hits and two walks over six innings in a 1-0 contest.

Macfarlane, who earned All-Tournament honors for a second consecutive year, recorded a .500 batting average, a 1.250 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage in tournament play. She collected a career-high four hits, including two solo home runs, in the win over George Mason. Macfarlane handled eight chances without an error at third base.
