ST. LOUIS -- For a third consecutive season, Saint Louis University senior David Ferragut has been selected to the Atlantic 10 men’s tennis All-Conference first team by a vote of the league’s head coaches.
Ferragut is the only player in Billiken men’s tennis history to earn first-team All-Conference honors three times. He leaves SLU with a school-record 63 career singles victories, and his 63-29 singles mark includes a 36-14 dual-meet record at No. 1. Ferragut ranks second in program history in combined singles and doubles wins (105) and seventh in doubles victories (42).
Ferragut’s team-best 17-8 singles record this season included a 10-7 mark at No. 1 in dual matches. He captured the No. 1 singles title at the River Forest Collegiate Invitational, won two singles matches at the ITA Central Regional, and was victorious in singles and doubles to help the Billikens defeat Fordham in the A-10 Championship first round.
