ST. LOUIS – The Saint Louis University men's and women's basketball squads were showcased Friday night at Billiken Madness at Chaifetz Arena. The event was held in conjunction with Family and Homecoming Weekend on the University campus.

The women's team kicked off the night. The team was introduced, then played an eight-minute Blue vs. White scrimmage. SLU head coach Lisa Stone then addressed the crowd.

The men's team was then introduced and took part in a dunk contest featuring Fred Thatch Jr., Demarius Jacobs, Javon Bess and Hasahn French. Bess won the dunk contest on a baseline jam after Tramaine Isabell Jr. threw the ball off the side of the backboard. SLU played a 10-minute scrimmage, then SLU head coach Travis Ford addressed the crowd.

There were several promotions where fans competed for cash, including the Cash for Dash where students picked up cash on the court wearing socks. Additionally, five fans picked from the crowd had a chance to win $10,000 in the Commerce Bank Half-Court Shot.

The night concluded with both teams on the stage with SLU students and emcee Andre Craig, who performed his new hit Gold Plated.
