ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis field hockey placed three student-athletes on the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Conference teams, as announced by the league office.
Freshman Emily Wastell was named to the A-10 All-Rookie team, while seniors Jess Dunlap and Carly Kissinger were voted to the A-10's All-Academic team.
Wastell led the Billikens in goals (six) and points (13). She scored twice, including the game winner, in the Billikens' win at Colgate earlier this year, helping her snag the A-10 Rookie of the Week. Wastell also scored in each of the final two games of SLU's season. She is the first Billiken to claim All-Rookie honors for the Bills since Alanah Busby in 2011.
Dunlap, an investigative and medical sciences major, and Kissinger, a nursing major, landed on the All-Academic team. That honor is bestowed on student-athletes who combine academic and athletic prowess. Dunlap appeared in every game for SLU on the Billikens' back line. Kissinger led the Billikens with five assists and concluded her career with more than 40 career points.
The Billikens finished 4-12 overall. They registered their first conference victory since 2015 with a thrilling shootout victory over La Salle earlier this year. The season also ended on a high note, as SLU defeated Fairfield 3-0 in the final weekend of the season.
