ST. LOUIS – For a second consecutive week, Saint Louis freshman center Brooke Flowers is the Atlantic 10 Conference women’s basketball Rookie of the Week, the league office announced today.
Flowers produced a third consecutive double-double in the Billikens’ A-10 opener at Massachusetts Jan. 6, leading the team with 17 points and grabbing a game-high and career-high-tying 12 rebounds. She turned in career highs of seven offensive rebounds, four blocks and three assists.
A Saint Louis player has earned A-10 Rookie of the Week accolades in seven of the first nine weeks this season. In addition to Flowers, Ciaja Harbison has captured the award four times and Myia Clark has won the honor once.
Following a game at Saint Joseph’s Wednesday, Jan. 9, the Billikens welcome Fordham to Chaifetz Arena for their A-10 home opener Sunday, Jan. 13.
