ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis freshman guard Ciaja Harbison has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference women’s basketball Rookie of the Week for a fifth consecutive week and ninth time this season, the league office announced today.
Harbison averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals in the Billikens’ two games last week. She was 11-of-12 (.917) from the free throw line.
The Louisville, Kentucky, native scored 13 points, had a game-high three steals and tied for the game high of four assists in a win over La Salle Feb. 10. She tied for game highs of 16 points, three assists and three steals Feb. 6 at Fordham.
Harbison leads Saint Louis and ranks third in the A-10 with 15.2 points per game. She is second in the league in assists (4.4 apg), fourth in free throw percentage (.843) and minutes (36.9 mpg), and ninth in field goal percentage (.433).
A Saint Louis player has won the A-10 Rookie of the Week award in 12 of 14 weeks this season.
Following a game at Duquesne Wednesday, Feb. 13, Saint Louis welcomes Richmond to Chaifetz Arena Sunday, Feb. 17, for a 2 p.m. tip-off. The game will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network.
