Saint Louis put themselves back in the win column Tuesday night, defeating SEMO 15-6.
The Billikens scored three runs in the first inning, two in the second, seven in the fifth and three in the sixth on their way to scoring a season-high 15 runs.
Kevin Jordan finished the night a double short of the cycle, going 4-5 with a home run, triple and two singles. It’s the first time this season a Billiken batter has smacked four hits. Jordan also recorded four RBIs and three runs scored.
Jake Garella hit his team-leading fourteenth double of the season, going 3-4 with one RBI and scoring two runs.
Three Billikens had two hits in the game: Scott Youngbrandt (2-3), Corrigan Bartlett (2-4) and Cole Dubet (2-5). Youngbrandt finished with three RBIs and two runs scored, Bartlett had two RBIs and two runs scored and Dubet ended the night with two RBIs and one run scored.
Freshman Grant Fremion picked up his first collegiate win on the mound, throwing 2.0 innings, giving up no runs on one hit and striking out a batter.
Ryan Patel closed out the game with a scoreless inning of relief. He recorded one strikeout and walked one hitter.
The Billikens resume A-10 play with a three-game series against St. Bonaventure that begins at 6 p.m. on Friday night. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
