Saint Louis scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning en route to their 6-4 win over Rhode Island on Saturday.
Freshman Cam Redding led SLU with three hits, finishing 3-4 with one RBI and two runs scored.
Jake Garella and Kevin Jordan each had two hits apiece. Garella doubled twice on the afternoon, wrapping up the contest 2-4 with two RBIs and one run scored. Jordan tripled in the seventh inning, bringing him to 2-3 on the day with an RBI and he scored one run.
Braxton Stowe provided some insurance runs with his two-RBI single in the seventh. He wrapped up the afternoon 1-4.
RHP Ryan Lefner picked up his fourth save of the season, tossing 2.0 inning and allowing one run on two hits and striking out one.
Starting pitcher Cody Luther took home a no decision, lasting 5.2 innings and surrendering two runs on eight hits while striking out three.
The Billikens will look for the sweep over the Rams on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m. CT.
