AMHERST, Mass. – Saint Louis' outdoor track and field squads brought home a total of five medals from the 2019 Atlantic 10 Conference Track and Field Championships, held this weekend at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass.

Sophomore Katie Wissing won the gold in the triple jump with a leap of 12.49 meters. She is the first conference champion for the Billikens' women's squad since Margo Richardson won the 1,500 meters in 2014.

The Billikens finished No. 2 and No. 3 in the men's 10,000 meters. Sophomore Ben Naeger captured the silver with a time of 30:17.04. Manuel de Backer won bronze after finishing in a time of 30:34.22.

Senior Sarah Reich was the bronze medal winner in the javelin with a toss of 41.09 meters.

Sophomore Alex Oleson brought home the bronze medal in the high jump with a mark of 1.97 meters.

Both the men's and women's teams improved their score totals from a year ago. The men's team placed seventh while the women finished 11th.
