Recent SLU alums Javon Bess (New Orleans Pelicans) and Tramaine Isabell Jr. (Los Angeles Clippers) played in the 2019 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bess helped the Pelicans (4-1) to an appearance in the semifinals of the tournament. The Clippers finished with a 3-2 record.

Javon Bess | New Orleans Pelicans

July 5 – Bess made his NBA Summer League debut in the showcase game of the NBA Summer League against the New York Knicks. He played 21 minutes, recorded five rebounds and posted two steals. New Orleans won 80-74 in a game halted in the fourth quarter due to an earthquake.
July 6 – Bess played 16 minutes in a five-point Pelicans loss against the Washington Wizards. He registered eight rebounds.
July 8 – Bess pulled down one rebound in four minutes of action in the Pelicans' win against the Bulls.
July 10 – Bess did not play in the Pelicans' win against the Cavaliers. 
July 13 – Bess did not play in the Pelican's win against the Heat.
July 14 – Bess came on at the end of regulation and converted a dunk to put the Pelicans up by three late in the game. However, the Grizzlies tied it up with a trey on the ensuing possession and ended up winning in overtime. 

Tramaine Isabell Jr. | Los Angeles Clippers

July 6 – Isabell did not play in the Clippers' win against the Lakers.
July 7 – Isabell did not in the Clippers' loss against the Grizzlies.
July 9 – Isabell made his Summer League debut in the Clippers' win against the Wizards.
July 11 – Isabell did not play in the Clippers' win against the Kings.
July 12 – Isabell scored eight points and dished out eight assists in the Clipper's loss to the Pacers.

Former Billiken Willie Reed appeared in four games for the Utah Jazz NBA Summer League and averaged 8.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg. 

Keith Carter, who played one semester at SLU before transferring to Valparaiso, played with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Summer League. He appeared in the Thunder's finale against Croatia and scored two points, recorded an assist, and picked up a rebound.
