Lincoln, Neb. – Saint Louis' men's and women's cross country squads were in action on Saturday at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational, hosted by the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The women's team registered a seventh-place finish (out of 16 teams), while the men came in ninth (out of 18 teams).
Senior Megan Kress led the women’s team for a second straight meet, coming in 10th overall with a 5K-time of 17:44.1. Also placing in the top 20 for the Billikens was senior Hannah Pierson, who crossed the line in 18th place with a time of 18:14.4. Freshman Riley Demo placed 33rd for the Bills with a time of 18:58.8.
On the men’s side, sophomore Stephen Kielhofner led the way for SLU with an 8K time of 25:39.1, good for 27th place. Senior Aaron Dugan was 45th with a time of 26:07. Senior Jon Schaefer was the third finisher for the Billikens, crossing the line in 26:19.6, good for 53rd place.
The Billikens are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Woody Greeno Invite at the University of Nebraska.
