Alemann Hurls Shutout for 16th Career Win

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Junior RHP Alex Alemann threw a complete-game shutout of the St. Mary's Gaels to earn his 16th career win, 2-0. He is now tied for the fifth-most wins in Saint Louis history. He only allowed four hits against St. Mary's. The effort is the eight complete game of Alemann's three-year career.

The Bills got the offense from junior Steve Fernandez, who went three-for-three on the day with a walk and an RBI in the eighth.

The Billikens return to action tomorrow against PAC-12 powerhouse Oregon State. The contest will begin at noon central time in Surprise, Ariz. as a continuation of the Coca-Cola Classic.
