ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis baseball team defeated North Dakota 4-2 Sunday afternoon, completing the four-game sweep of UND. Sophomore Josh Moore (1-1) gets the win and sophomore Matt Eckelman (4) gets the save. With the victory, SLU rises to 8-6 this season.

Both squads were held scoreless for most of the game. However, both teams scored all their runs in the fourth inning. North Dakota opened the scoring in the fourth, plating a pair of runs. Saint Louis, however, responded in the bottom of the inning with four runs of their own. Danny Murphy led off with a double down the right field line. After a hit by pitch from Colton Frabasilio and Drew Curtis walk, the Billikens had the bases loaded with no outs. Danny Mannion drove Murphy in with a ground out to the right side. A wild pitch scored Frabasilio. Mike Vigliarolo followed with a two RBI single to right to bring the score to 4-2 in favor of the Billikens.

Moore turned in a solid outing on the hill, throwing five innings and allowing four hits, two runs (one earned) and two walks while striking out five. Freshman Zach Girrens was strong in relief, throwing three scoreless innings, with only one hit and one walk. Eckelman dominated the ninth, striking out one and inducing a game-ending double play.

At the plate, Vigliarolo paced the Billikens. Not only did he drive in the eventual winning runs, he was 3-4 on the day.

The Billikens return to action on Wednesday, March 12 when the take on the Braves of Bradley University.
