SAINT LOUIS - [GAME ONE BOX] [GAME TWO BOX] Saint Louis University Baseball avoided a scare in game one of the day as the Billikens finished with a pair of wins over Dayton, 9-8 and 8-4.

Saint Louis (24-9, 10-1 A-10) put together a big lead in game one, but weathered a ninth-inning barrage by Dayton to preserve the victory.

The Billikens put up nine runs in the first game as three players hit home runs in the contest. Alex King, Parker Sniatynski and James Morisano all went yard as they helped to build a large lead for the visitors.

King not only hit his fifth round-tripper of the season, but hit a triple as well. The senior shortstop went 2-3 in the game with two walks.

Cole Dubet led the Billikens with a three-hit day as the team from Saint Louis entered the bottom of the ninth with a 9-2 lead. Dayton, however, took the momentum in the bottom-half of the inning.

Six singles in the bottom of the ninth for the Flyers became the story as the home team went from a 9-2 deficit to a 9-8 game. Aaron Patton, however, became the savior. The senior struck-out the final batter with a runner at first to put an end to the Dayton comeback and secure the victory.

The Billikens grabbed game two a bit more convincingly as Jackson Wark became the first seven-game winner in the Atlantic 10. The right-handed pitcher tossed six innings and allowed two runs with six strikeouts to his credit.

Saint Louis plated eight total runs in the game as King went yard for the second time on Friday. The senior cracked his sixth of the season in the game while Sniatynski recorded three hits in game two.

With the pair of wins, the Billikens have secured their fourth Atlantic 10 series win of the season. Saint Louis will now look to grab the series sweep on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. CDT as Drew Reveno will take the hill.
