ST. LOUISDwayne Evans led five Saint Louis players in double figures with a game-high 14 points, and the Billikens cruised to a 94-38 exhibition victory over Fontbonne Thursday night at Chaifetz Arena.

Evans was 4-of-4 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. The senior forward also grabbed a game-high six rebounds as SLU earned a 40-27 advantage on the boards.

Jake Barnett connected on 3-of-6 from beyond the arc and finished with 12 points. Jordair Jett (4-of-6 FG) collected 11 points and game highs of eight assists and three steals, while Grandy Glaze (5-of-5 FG) and Rob Loe scored 10 points apiece.

Dallas Haywood led Fontbonne with nine points, five rebounds and five assists.

Saint Louis shot 52.6 percent from the floor and 27-of-36 from the foul line while committing only 11 turnovers. Defensively, the Billikens tallied 16 steals and seven blocks, five of which came from John Manning, who also chipped in nine points (3-of-5 FG, 3-of-4 FT).

Reggie Agbeko (6-of-8 FT) scored eight points and gathered five rebounds, Tanner Lancona (4-of-5 FG) had eight points, and Mike McCall Jr. recorded seven points and four assists.

The Billikens led 26-3 midway through the first half and did not allow a field goal until Grant Tucker canned a 3-pointer at the 9:13 mark. Fontbonne narrowed the gap to 13 points, 32-19, but SLU used a 15-5 run to close the half with a 47-24 cushion. The Griffins drew no closer following intermission.

Saint Louis opens the regular season at home Friday, Nov. 8, against Southeast Missouri State. Tip time at Chaifetz Arena is 7:30 p.m.
