ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis field hockey received national academic accolades today. Junior Megan Ambrose, junior Caitlin Brenner, sophomore Caitlin Brownell, freshman Megan Depew-Brady, freshman Rachel Mohr and sophomore Jane Tomic have earned 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA National Academic Squad plaudits. The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.

The 2011 Billikens had their best season under head coach Lauren Bruce. Depew-Brady and Mohr are just two of the 10 freshmen on the field hockey squad and Nicole Kent was the lone senior. Saint Louis will return a majority of the squad that finished seventh in the A-10 this season.
