THE BASICS
Saint Louis' Erica Bondoc and Carly Kissinger connected for a pair of goals, but the Richmond Spiders struck three times to defeat the Billikens 3-2 Friday in Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey action at Sportport International.

The Billikens dip to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in the league, while Richmond moves to 1-7 overall and 1-1 in the A-10.

Both Billiken tallies came with SLU trailing by two goals, but they were never able to break through for the equalizer. Bondoc's first goal came in the 56th minute when she tipped in a Kissinger attempt. In the 62nd minute, Kissinger again sent one in to Bondoc for another score.

They were the first goals of the season for Bondoc. By registering the two assists, Kissinger improves her team-leading point total to 10 (3G, 4A).

SLU outshot the Spiders 12-11.
