Six Billiken men’s swimmers competed in the USA Winter National Championships held November 29 - December 2 in Greensboro, N.C. The meet featured some of the best high school, college and pro swimmers in the country, including five-time Olympic Gold Medalist Katie Ledecky.

T.J. Halliburton placed 24 in the 100 meter back with a time (57.68) that is only one second off of the 2020 U.S. Olympic qualifying time. He also placed 25 in the 200 meter back and swam a 1:47.37 in the 200 yard back which ranked him third in the A-10 at the event. T.J. was named the A-10 Men's Performer of the Week following his performance at the meet.

Grant Streid placed 18 in the in the 200 meter fly with a time of 2:05.17 and 40 in the 100 meter fly with a time of 56.59.

Justin Mars finished 26 in the 100 meter breast (1:04.34) and swam a 55.10 in the 100 yard breast which ranked him first in the A-10 this season.

Keegan Paulson placed 46 in the 100 meter back with a time of 59.31 and swam a 49.83 in the 100 yard fly.

Collin O'Brien placed 35 in the 200 meter IM (2:09.96) and 34 in the 200 breast with a time of 2:25.23. He also swam the top 200 yard breast time in the A-10 with a time of 2:01.67.

Isaiah Williams placed 26 in the 200 meter butterfly and swam a 1:39.91 in the 200 yard free.

The Billikens return to action on January 11 at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Ill.
