-- Saint Louis hosts the Davidson Wildcats in Atlantic 10 Conference play Sunday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

THE OPENING TIP
-- Saint Louis and Davidson are in search of their first conference win of the season. The Billikens are coming off a loss at La Salle Wednesday, while the Wildcats were defeated at George Washington on Thursday.
-- SLU is in its 12th year in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Bills captured A-10 regular-season crowns in 2013 and 2014 and won the A-10 Tournament in 2013. The Wildcats won the A-10 regular-season title in 2014-15, their first year in the league after spending the previous 74 years in the Southern Conference.
-- Junior guard Davell Roby is second on the Billikens with 10.1 ppg. He tied for team-high honors with 14 points at La Salle.
--Senior forward Reggie Agbeko scores 9.8 ppg and is second in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 8.2 rpg. He has four double-doubles on the season and seven in his career.
-- Senior guard Mike Crawford, who has played in more than 100 games in his Billiken career, averages 8.9 ppg. Redshirt freshman forward Elliott Welmer scores 7.7 ppg, including a team-high 10.5 ppg in the Bills’ two A-10 contests.
-- True freshmen Zeke Moore (5.3 ppg) and Jalen Johnson (5.1 ppg) have appeared in every game this year. Moore has at least one 3-pointer in seven of the last eight games. Johnson tied a career high with five rebounds vs. URI.
-- Sophomore guard Jermaine Bishop leads the Billikens in scoring with 11.6 ppg but has missed the last four games with an injury. Redshirt junior guard Aaron Hines has filled in and is averaging 9.5 ppg in A-10 play.
-- First-year Billikens head coach Travis Ford is in his 20th season as a collegiate head coach and has a 349-267 career mark.
-- Davidson enters Sunday’s game 7-6 overall and 0-2 in A-10 play.
-- The Wildcats are led by guard Jack Gibbs and forward Peyton Aldridge, who are both averaging more than 20 ppg. In fact, through games of Jan. 5, they are the nation’s fourth-highest scoring duo, averaging a combined 43.7 ppg.
-- Gibbs is second in the A-10 in scoring with 22.3 ppg, and he leads the league in 3-pointers made per game with 3.3. He is among 50 players on the watchlist for the Naismith Men’s College Player of the Year award.
-- Aldridge is third in the conference in scoring with 20.8 ppg and sixth in rebounding with 7.2 rpg.
-- Head coach Bob McKillop is 523-319 in 28 years at Davidson. He coached current NBA star Stephen Curry at Davidson, and McKillop has led the Wildcats to 15 postseason appearances.
-- This is Davidson’s third season in the A-10, and the series is tied 1-1. Last year, the Billikens scored a Chaifetz Arena record 96 points in a 96-87 SLU victory.
