A LOOK AT THE BILLIKENS

• Following three consecutive road matches, Saint Louis returns to Chaifetz Pavilion for an Atlantic 10 Conference weekend set with George Washington and George Mason.
• SLU leads the series with George Washington 13-6 and is 6-0 all-time vs. George Mason.
• A year ago, Saint Louis opened conference play with 3-0 home victories over this weekend’s opponents. The Billikens defeated George Mason 25-19, 25-23, 31-29 and downed George Washington 25-23, 29-27, 25-17.
• The Billikens have moved up to second in the A-10 in kills (12.68/set) and fourth in service aces (1.56/set).
• Sien Gallop is second in the nation with 0.66 service aces per set. The Billikens are 35th nationally in the team rankings.
• Lauren Leverenz stands fifth in the A-10 in hitting percentage (.332).
• Maya Taylor (3.36/set) and Nenye Okoro (3.08/set) rank fifth and eighth in the league, respectively, in kills.
• Mackenzie Long’s 3.46 digs-per-set average is good for ninth in the conference.
• Lauren Leverenz and Lauren Mershon are battling for the team lead in blocks. Leverenz enters the weekend with a 56-52 edge.
• In conference matches only, the Billikens rank third in hitting percentage (.228).
• Lauren Leverenz owns a .390 hitting mark vs. A-10 opponents, good for fourth in the league. Leverenz also is seventh in blocks (1.08/set) and ninth in kills (3.08/set) in conference contests.
• Maya Taylor stands atop the A-10 in kills (3.75/set) in conference matches, while Sien Gallop ranks fourth (3.25/set).
• Mackenzie Long is fifth all-time at Saint Louis with 1,304 career digs. Long needs 21 digs to pass Jessica Sippy (1995-98) for fourth place.
• Lauren Leverenz earned a nod as the A-10 co-Player of the Week Oct. 9. Leverenz led the Billikens with a combined .533 hitting percentage (36-4-60) and nine blocks in wins at Rhode Island and Fordham.
• Maya Taylor was named the Sept. 18 A-10 Rookie of the Week. Taylor tallied 61 kills (3.81/set) and hit .299 in four matches.
• Kent Miller collected his 100th victory as the Billikens’ head coach when SLU defeated Western Illinois Sept. 12. Miller is the third SLU skipper to achieve 100 wins, joining Marilyn Nolen and Anne Kordes.

A LOOK AT GEORGE WASHINGTON

• George Washington dropped a 3-0 decision to VCU but rebounded with a 3-1 victory over Davidson last weekend.

• The Colonials are strong defensively, ranking third in the A-10 in digs (14.84/set) and fourth in blocks (1.99/set); in A-10 matches only, they are second in opponents’ hitting percentage (.146).
• Freshman libero Sydney Welch is eighth in the conference in digs (3.84/set).
• Junior outside hitter Kelsey Clark (.264, 2.29 kills per set) is GW’s top offensive threat and also leads the team in blocks (65).

A LOOK AT GEORGE MASON

• George Mason is coming off a split last weekend, defeating Davidson 3-0 and falling to VCU 3-0.

• Sophomore outside hitter Bailey Williams leads the Patriots and ranks ninth in the A-10 with 3.03 kills per set.
• Junior libero Catie Espinoza ranks fifth in the league in digs with a team-high 4.48 per set.
