ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis field hockey received several national academic honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) today. As a team, the Billikens earned the National Academic Team Award, bestowed to teams with a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better.

Additionally, the following Billikens earned a spot on the National Academic squad, which is given to student-athletes with a 3.3 GPA or better: Maya Bentley, Erica Bondoc, Amanda Clark, Jess Dunlap, Molly Feid, Emily Frost, Carly Kissinger, Fleur Maarse, Monica Ryan and Carli Wolfe.

Jess Dunlap was named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction as a field hockey student-athlete with a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or better.

Saint Louis opens its spring competition with contests against Missouri State and Lindenwood on Saturday, March 25, at Sportport International in Maryland Heights, Mo. Games are set to begin at 12:30 p.m.
