Appalachian State scored three times in the second half en route to a 3-0 victory over Saint Louis in a nonconference field hockey match Thursday night.
The Billikens fall to 4-10, while the Mountaineers improve to 7-8.
SLU had the better of action in the first half, outshooting App State 8-4 in the first stanza. Seven of the Billikens' shots were on goal. SLU kept applying pressure to the tune of seven shots in the second half.
Hanna Smith paced the Billikens with three goals – all of them on goal.
Lillian Cosetto was sharp for the Billikens in the cage, making eight saves.
