Saint Louis took two-of-three games from St. Bonaventure this past weekend, bringing their conference record to 4-5 on the season. They head to the Bronx on Thursday looking for another weekend series win over an A-10 opponent.

On Tuesday night against Rockhurst Cole Dubet became the eleventh player in SLU history to double three times in a single game. His eight doubles on the year is good enough for second on the team. Dubet has started at second base in 33 games for the Billikens, batting for a .271 average.

Corrigan Bartlett also tied a SLU record on Tuesday, becoming just the fourth player in school history to reach base three times in a game via a hit-by-pitch. The most recent prior to Bartlett on Tuesday night was Aaron Case on May 5, 2017. Bartlett has reached base a combined 25 times this season by a BB (14) or a HBP (11). He recently ended a 28-game on-base streak for the Billikens.

Junior Jake Garella is tied for second in the A-10 with 15 doubles. The consistent No. 3 batter in the Billikens lineup is hitting .301 on the year, and he leads the team in both hits and doubles.

Connor Lehmann earns the start in game one of the doubleheader on Thursday. He’s 2-4 with a 3.38 ERA on the season. Last weekend against the Bonnies, Lehmann threw 4.0 innings, gave up one earned run on three hits and struck out four. It’ll mark his tenth start of the year, and he has struck out at least nine batters in four of the nine previous games.

It’ll be hard to top his most recent outing, but Cody Luther will take the ball on Friday following his 11-strikeout, no-hit performance against St. Bonaventure. The senior right-hander is 5-2 with the fourth best ERA in the conference at 2.30, and opponents are batting just .198 against him. In his nine previous starts, he’s only given up more than four hits in three of them. Luther is also fourth in the A-10 with 55 strikeouts on the season.

Fordham is coming off a sweep of St. Joseph’s and winning one-of-three against VCU in the their two most recent conference series. They're 22-16 overall this season and 7-5 in the A-10, three spots higher than the Billikens in the standings. The Rams are 13-2 when playing at home in the Bronx this year.

With a team-leading .359 average, sophomore infielder Jake MacKenzie is the lone Fordham position player batting over .300 in 2019, good enough for sixth in the conference. MacKenzie has 23 more hits than his closest teammate, including nine doubles, six triples, one home run, 19 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He also has a conference-leading 33 stolen bases in 37 attempts.

Sophomore lefty Matt Mikulski will take the ball for his ninth start in game one of the doubleheader on Thursday. He’s 4-4 with a 3.20 ERA. Mikulski has 45 strikeouts in 50.2 innings pitched.

RHP John Stankiewicz and his A-10-leading 0.90 ERA gets the nod for the Rams on Friday. He ranks high in most of the major pitching categories in the conference, including wins (6, first), innings pitched (50.0, sixth), strikeouts (62, second), K/9 (11.16, third) and ERA (0.90, first).

The Billikens are 13-10 all-time against the Rams.
