ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis University has announced the grand re-opening of the SLU Shop, the official Billiken fan store located in Chaifetz Arena, and the relaunch of the online store.

With the opening of the new SLU Shop and the relaunch of the online store, Billiken fans will be able to shop at the Chaifetz Arena location or via the Web throughout the year. The SLU Shop features officially licensed Billiken merchandise including team apparel, T-shirts, jerseys, caps, home furnishings and much more. The store also features the ability to create unique, customized Billiken apparel.

The SLU Shop is located at 1 South Compton Avenue just inside the north entry of Chaifetz Arena. Fans can also visit the SLU Shop online by clicking here , or call 314-977-FANS (3267) for additional information.

"We want the best for our fans, both on and off the playing surface," said Kosha Irby, SLU's associate director of athletics for external operations. "This venture is a significant step forward in enhancing the Saint Louis Billiken brand and providing a truly unique shopping experience for Billiken fans everywhere. We have several innovative ideas planned for the Chaifetz Arena location and the online store that will continue to build our overall merchandise and content fan experience. This venture is a long-term commitment to our fans."

During Welcome Week (August 18-23, 2008), the SLU Shop will provide free T-shirts to the SLU community. All SLU students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID will receive a free Arch Logo T-shirt with a minimum $30 purchase (while supplies last). The promotional offer is valid only during Welcome Week festivities and is not available online.

The store will be open during men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball home contests.
