ST. LOUIS - The Saint Louis University department of athletics today announced the addition of two new staff members. Sara Hahn has been hired as a manager of event operations, while Brandon Morris has been named an academic coordinator.
As a manager of event operations, Hahn will oversee event management of select sports while also providing marketing and promotional efforts for those programs. She graduated with a communications degree from SLU in 2007, and most recently has been a graduate assistant in the Billiken Sports Marketing office. She joined the department as a student in 2003 and has since provided assistance in all aspects of the department, including events, promotions, ticketing and marketing efforts.
Morris comes to the University after a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at Arizona State University. At SLU, he will be responsible for the academic advisement of student-athletes from 16 of the Billikens' 18 sport programs. While at ASU, Morris assisted in all facets of academic and life skill development of the Sun Devils' football student-athletes. In addition, he coordinated the football program's community service efforts. During his time in Tempe, Morris was also a program director for Scholar-Baller, a non-profit organization that bridges the gap between education, sport and entertainment.
Morris was a standout forward for the Drury University men's basketball team from 2000 to 2002. He graduated from Drury in 2002 with a degree in exercise physiology and sport science before attaining a master's in education from ASU in 2007.
