THE BASICS
•DePaul scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and defeated Saint Louis 8-7 Friday on day two of the DePaul Dome Tournament.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Kelsey Etling put Saint Louis on the board with a first-inning RBI single.
•DePaul answered with a run in its half of the first and added two tallies in the third for a 3-1 lead.
•The Billikens regained the upper hand with a three-run fourth. Ashley Marietta's RBI single was followed by run-scoring doubles off the bats of Kendall Johnson and Jocelyn Abbott.
•SLU made it 6-3 in the sixth on RBI singles by Natalie Sullivan and Gabbie Kowalik.
•DePaul plated a run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Bills restored their three-run lead on Johnson's RBI single in the seventh.
•After the first DePaul batter was retired in the seventh, the Blue Demons erupted for four runs and claimed the win.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Marietta was 3-for-4 with two doubles.
•Johnson added a single for a 3-for-4 outing.
•Kowalik tacked on a double for a two-hit night.
•Jane Kaniecki had two hits including a double.
•Sullivan collected another single to register a two-hit game.
•Abbott added a single for a two-hit performance.
•Cami Newbanks and Chloe Rhine contributed a single apiece.

The Billikens conclude play in the DePaul Dome Tournament with two games Saturday, taking on Western Illinois at 5 p.m. and St. Thomas (Minn.) at 7:30 p.m.
