Larson, Bills Dominate at Lindenwood Quad

ST. LOUIS - Sophomore diver Anna Larson (St. Charles, Mo. / Francis Howell) and the Saint Louis swimming and diving teams dominated Lindenwood, Lincoln and the Illinois Institute of Technology at the Recplex in St. Charles, Mo., on Saturday afternoon. Larson was the only member of the Billiken women's team to win two events, finishing first in both the one- and three-meter events. She posted a 255.60 effort on the one-meter board, which ranks ninth all-time at SLU; while also turning in a 285.45 performances on the three-meter board. That performance ranks fourth in SLU annals. Brad Byars (Marion, Ill. / Marion), Michael Dahle (St. Louis, Mo. / Lindbergh) and Adam Trafton (St. Louis, Mo. / SLUH) were the only double winner for the SLU men's squad. Byars recorded the team's fastest 100 fly race this season with a time of 51.02, which also ranks second in the Billiken record book. His 21.16 performance in the 50 free ties for fourth in SLU annals. Dahle touched first in the 200 IM (2:00.02) and the 500 free (4:45.80). His performance in the 500 free ranks seventh all-time at Saint Louis. Trafton won both the 100 (47.71) and 200 free (1:44.92). As a whole, the Bills captured five of the six relays contested on Saturday. The women won the 200 medley (1:52.50), 200 free (1:43.65) and 400 free (3:44.57) relays; while the men finished first in the 200 medley relay (1:36.22) and the 400 free relay (3:18.63). The men's 200 medley relay performance was the third-fastest in school history.
