ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis swimming and diving coach Jim Halliburton bolstered his 2007-08 men's and women's rosters with the addition of three student-athletes. Michael Dahle (Crestwood, Mo./Lindbergh), Joey Frampus (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) and Jordan Hagar (Plattsmouth, Neb./Marian) have each signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Billikens next season.

"We're extremely excited to get three student-athletes who will make an immediate impact on our swim team," Halliburton said. "They are all good students and we really need what they'll bring to SLU next year. Each of them will help us in their best events, and they will contribute right away in the relays. Michael and Joey will come in with times right around some of our school records, and Jordan will immediately be a part of our top relay. We did really well with these three and we hope we can get more student-athletes of this caliber during the spring signing period."

As a senior at Lindbergh High School, Dahle helped his team to runner-up accolades at the state swim meet in October 2006. The Crestwood, Mo., native, who owns school records in four individual events and as a member of one relay, will display his versatility by participating in the backstroke, distance free, butterfly and IM events at SLU. Dahle, who also played water polo in high school, is a member of the Rockwood Swim Club, where Halliburton has coached for the past few years.

Frampus, a Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Md.) High School product, will contribute to the Bills by competing in the breaststroke, IM and freestyle events. The two-time high school team captain qualified for the finals in the 200 breast at the National Coaches Swimming Association (NCSA) Junior Nationals in March 2006. A native of Royal Oak, Mich., Frampus has been successful at combining academics and athletics earning summa cum laude honors on the National Latin Exam and receiving a certificate of meritorious service. Frampus, whose sister Christine is a member of the SLU field hockey team, is also a member of the Aqua Hoyas Swim Club.

Hagar, an Omaha, Neb., native, will contribute to the Billikens' cause in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events. At Marian High School, she enjoyed a successful career as a student-athlete earning Academic All-America honors in addition to being a member of National Honor Society. A four-year letterwinner, Hagar captained her high school squad for two seasons and finished in the top 10 at the state meet in the 100 fly and the 500 free in her first three seasons. She is currently in the midst of her senior campaign at Marian High School. Hagar is a member of the Swim Omaha club team.

Last weekend, the Billiken swimming and diving teams wrapped up their seasons at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Buffalo, N.Y.
