ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis head swimming and diving coach Jim Halliburton and his coaching staff recently recognized 12 student-athletes from the 2008-09 squads at the team's end-of-the-season banquet.

The season's top honor, Most Valuable Performer, was presented to four Billikens - senior Kevin Parker (Germantown, Tenn. / Christian Brothers), junior Anna Larson (St. Charles, Mo. / Francis Howell), sophomore Stephen Sheridan (Tampa, Fla. / Jesuit) and freshman Katie Kolster (Delafield, Wis. / Arrowhead).

Hardest Worker plaudits went to seniors Justin Breithaupt (Swansea, Ill. / Belleville East) and Jillian Smith (Muncie, Ind. / Delta) and juniors Laura Robertson (Katy, Texas / Cinco Ranch) and Adam Walsh (Slatington, Pa. / Parkland). Freshman Mike Kelly (Castle Rock, Colo. / Regis Jesuit) and sophomore Jessica Schwarz (Ballwin, Mo. / Parkway West) took home Best Attitude honors, while freshmen Molly Culver (Bourbonnais, Ill. / Bradley-Bourbonnais) and Blake Kocian (Clarendon Hills, Ill. / Hinsdale Central) were named Most Improved.
