Holdmeyer Places Sixth at USA Juniors

10K Results | Bloggin' With Brian COLUMBUS, Ohio - Saint Louis freshman Brian Holdmeyer turned in a sixth-place finish in the 10K with a time of 31:46.91 at the 2008 USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at Owens Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University. Holdmeyer became the first Billiken ever to qualify for the prestigious event when he reached the 10K qualifying standard at a meet at Washington (Mo.) University earlier this season with a time of 32:06.96. On Saturday, he finished just off his career-best time of 31:46.78, which was achieved at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Conference Championships. Holdmeyer finished third in the event among collegiate athletes. Daniel Dunbar won the 10K with a time of 30:34.09.
