Minneapolis, Minn. - Running in her homestate of Minnesota, junior Laura Coyer led the Saint Louis women's cross country team across the line at the NCAA Midwest Regional meet held at Bolstad Golf Course outside on Minneapolis. For the SLU men, senior Paul Lemon was the top finisher.

The SLU women totalled 552 points to place 21st in the field. Coyer covered the 6K distance in 23:19.87, good for 87th overall. Mary Moloney was next for the Billikens in 23:34.52. Sarah Turner ran a strong 24:06.77 for third on the team, while Brigette Schutzman capped an outstanding freshman season by placing fourth in 24:11.22. Lauren Verzal was just behind in 24:12.17. Anissa Reynolds and Meaghan McCallin were next for the Billikens.

Senior Paul Lemon ran the 10K course in a time of 33:55.04 as the top Billiken finisher. Steve Vargas was second for the team in 34:11.69, and Mat Stuber, who last week was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic cross country team, clocked a 34:38.24.
