Don Lassus Earns Academic All-District Honors

Saint Louis University cross country runner Don Lassus (Houston, Texas / Strake Jesuit) was named to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District VII Men's Track & Field/Cross Country team today. He will appear on the national ballot for Academic All-America.

Lassus, a history major, graduated summa cum laude from the University this spring. He was a member of the Dean's List every semester at SLU and earned the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal all four years. Lassus ran in every meet this past season and posted a season-best time of 28:51 over 8K.

To be eligible for the award, nominees must be a starter or important reserve, have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the nominating institution.
