Stuber Named To A-10 Cross Country All-Academic Team

Nov. 8, 2006

For the second-straight season, junior cross country runner Mat Stuber (Reading, Pa. / Central Catholic) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Academic All-Conference team. Stuber is in the University's aviation science / professional pilot program and is just one of six selections on the All-Academic team.

"Mat is very deserving of this honor," Billiken cross country head coach Mike Nelson said. "Not only is he one of our top athletes, he's also a great leader. He is the type of person who works hard and does well in all of his endeavors."

Stuber was one of the top four runners on the team in all six meets this season, including three second-place finishes. His best 8K time this year was a personal-best 26:35 at the Saluki Invitational, and he finished ninth overall at the Washington University Early Bird meet. Stuber was third for the team at the A-10 Championship meet.
