Former Saint Louis University standout guard Kevin Lisch (Belleville, Ill. / Althoff) has signed a professional contract with the Perth Wildcats of the Australian National Basketball League. He expects to join the team this week for the start of training camp.

"I didn't know that much about Australia, but (SLU assistant) coach Chris Harriman told me great things about the Perth Wildcats and head coach Rob Beveridge," Lisch said. "I'm excited to get down there and work hard. I want to thank all the fans who supported me and the team through my four years, as well as all the coaches and staff I had the chance to work with at SLU."

Lisch closed out his career in sixth place on the Billiken scoring list with 1,687 points, and his 325 assists rank ninth on the career chart. He hit 259 3-pointers, second most all time, and his 133 steals rank fifth at SLU. Lisch ended his career seventh in 3-point field goal percentage (39.5) and free throw percentage (81.0). As a senior, he was named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third team and was a first-team Academic All-District selection. Lisch also was voted the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Year and was third-team All-Conference.

The Wildcats are coached by Rob Beveridge, who previously coached Billiken assistant Chris Harriman. The team has another connection with SLU. Incoming Billiken forward Cody Ellis' father, Mike, was a standout player and coach for the Wildcats.
