McNabb Signs National Letter of Intent
April 30, 2008
ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis men's soccer coach Dan Donigan announced today that Tyler McNabb (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Metro United/Cape Central) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University and play soccer for the Billikens. He begins his four years of eligibility in the fall. McNabb is a 6-foot-3 defender who has played seven years for the Metro United Soccer Club of Southern Illinois and coach Dale Schilly. That is the same club that produced former Billiken and current Colorado Rapids player Brian Grazier. In addition to playing club soccer, McNabb starred on Cape Central's football team where he was a first-team All-Region pick as a tight end and placekicker. "Tyler is a big, strong, aggressive defender who will compete for playing time on our backline," Donigan said. "Tyler has an unparalleled competitive edge to him that I feel will make him a valuable member of our team." McNabb's brother, Bret, also played at Metro United and spent four seasons at Oakland University prior to playing professionally for one season with the Michigan Bucks. McNabb joins a recruiting class that already includes 6-foot-4 defender/midfielder Keegan Smith (Dallas, Texas/Solar SC).
