ST. LOUIS - Former Saint Louis University men's soccer players Calum Angus and Dado Hamzagic have traveled abroad and are contributing on their respective professional sides.

Angus is playing for GAIS, which is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Hamzagic returned to his native Bosnia and is playing for FK Sarajevo, which is currently competing in UEFA Europa League qualifying.

Angus, who played for the Wilmington Hammerheads in USL-2 after graduating from SLU, has made an immediate impact for GAIS. In his first appearance last month, he came off the bench and notched an equalizing goal in a 1-1 draw against Halmstad BK. He has since seen extensive playing time with the club, which plays in Sweden's first division.

Hamzagic, who returned to Bosnia after an off-season stint with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, notched the game-winning penalty kick after playing all 120 minutes for FK Sarajevo in a recent UEFA Europa League qualifier against Helsingborg.

Former Billiken Vedad Ibisevic is also playing overseas and is ready to pick up where he left off with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga. Last season, Ibisevic was leading the league with 18 goals before suffering a season-ending knee injury.
