Golfers Fall at Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Saint Louis dropped both ends of men's and women's golf dual matches at Evansville Friday afternoon. At Oak Meadow Golf Club, the Evansville men posted a 299-309 victory over SLU. On the women's side, the Purple Aces won 348-372. For the Billikens, junior Ryan Blechle was the low scorer with a 75.

Senior Barry O'Neill finished two strokes behind Blechle with a 77, while sophomore Adam Serrano shot 79. Senior John Campbell carded an 80. Freshmen Stefan Ballage and Riley Rindo rounded out the team with rounds of 83 and 85, respectively. Evansville's Kyle Reddington had the afternoon's top score of 70.

On the women's side, UE's Crissy Higgins led the way with an 81. SLU freshman Christa Cloutier paced the Billikens with an 85, while sophomore Jenny Madras finished second on the team with an 88. Freshman Caitlin Cummings posted a 96, while Kaela Burke and Amber Dodman carded rounds of 105 and 106, respectively.
 

 

Both teams head to Branson, Mo., for tournaments hosted by Missouri State on Monday and Tuesday.
