GERMANTOWN, Tenn. - Freshmen Keely Fitzgerald and Jenny Madras post 81s to lead Saint Louis in its first Conference USA Women's Golf Championship. In the inaugural season of the sport at SLU, the Billikens are in 10th place after the first round at Germantown Country Club.

Madras shot 81 behind a 39 on the back nine, while Fitzgerald was steady with 40 on the front and 41 on the back. The pair is part of a six-way tie for 32nd place in the 50-golfer field.

Freshman Kaela Burke is in 48th with a 96, while freshman Lainey Trahan's 100 put her in 50th. Junior Amber Dodman shot 113 for 50th place through the first of three rounds.

TCU leads the field by four strokes over second-place USF. The Bulls' Fernanda Rivera's 70 is one shot ahead of TCU's Stacey Bieber in the individual title race.

Play resumes on Tue., Apr. 19, and the final round is set for Wed., Apr. 20.
