WEST POINT, N.Y. - Junior Julia Bradenberg collected a goal and an assist Saturday to power Saint Louis women's soccer to a 2-0 victory over host Army in the BAE Systems Fall Classic.

Freshman Andrea Barklage scored the only goal the Billikens (2-0) would need at the 20:38 mark. From 19 yards out, Bradenberg's pass found Barklage in front of the goal, and the 2008 Missouri Player of the Year tapped it in for her first collegiate marker and a 1-0 SLU lead.

Bradenberg provided an insurance goal at 76:29, blasting a 25-yarder to the right of the Army goalkeeper. The goal was her first of the season and 14th of her career, placing her just one shy of moving into the Bills' top 10.

Saint Louis earned a 19-11 overall advantage in shots that included a 6-1 margin in shots on goal. That offensive dominance helped the Bills achieve a 2-0 start for the first time since 2003. SLU improved to 4-0 against Army, which fell to 2-1 on the season.

Bradenberg and Barklage were joined on the All-Tournament team by senior Molly Hartmann, who scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Seton Hall in the Billikens' tournament opener on Thursday.

The Billikens host the Toys For Tots Tournament at Robert R. Hermann Stadium on Friday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 7. Army and Missouri State open the tournament at 5:30 p.m. Friday, with Saint Louis and Nebraska following at 7:30. Sunday's schedule matches Army and Southeast Missouri State at 11 a.m., followed by SLU and Missouri State at 1:30 p.m. For tickets, call (314) 977-4SLU or go online at www.slubillikens.com.
