June 2, 2009
ST. LOUIS - Spots are still available for the College Exposure High School Softball Players' Camp June 9-10 at The Billiken Sports Center on the campus of Saint Louis University. The camp, as well as a coaches' clinic slated for June 8, will feature SLU head coach John Conway, Florida State head coach Lonni Alameda and Seminole assistant Angel Santiago in addition to former Major League Baseball player Mark Doran. The camp will take place in two sessions per day from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m., and is designed for players who compete at the high-school level. Participants will be provided with competitive and intense personal instruction in order to improve their skill level and knowledge of the game. Campers should bring their gear, including bats, cleats, gloves, helmets, sneakers, visors/hats, water bottle, sunscreen, catcher's gear (if applicable) and lunch. The cost is $225 per person. A team rate of $200 is available if at least five players from the same team sign up. Check-in will be from 8-9 a.m. at the softball field. The coaches clinic, which will be held at The Billiken Sports Center from 6-8 p.m., is $30 per person. A question-and-answer session will follow the clinic.
