ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis softball wraps up its fall exhibition season Saturday with an 11 a.m. doubleheader against Jefferson College at The Billiken Sports Center. The following day, the Billikens host an Alumni Game at 2 p.m.

Last weekend, the Bills fell to Missouri State 3-2 in eight innings, but bounced back to defeat Parkland College 8-0 in five innings to close the day with a 1-1 record. Freshmen Erin Cejka, Kerri Dockins and Kelly Flanagan paced SLU with two hits apiece, while senior Katie Johns led the team with three RBIs and rookie Rachel Faletto contributed two. Junior Stacy Gillette tossed a two-hit, two-strikeout shutout against Parkland en route to the win.

SLU has posted a 2-4 record during the fall 2008 exhibition season. The Billikens' top hitters have been sophomore Kristin Nicoletti, senior Rachel Heet, Cejka and Dockins, with Heet and Johns each providing the squad with three RBIs. Freshman Kelcie Matesa leads the pitching staff with three complete games and six strikeouts in three appearances.
