Billikens Fall to No. 2 Charlotte

Monroeville, Pa. - Seventh-seeded Saint Louis, which topped No. 10 Dayton earlier in the day, dropped a 4-1 decision to second-seeded Charlotte in the 2006 Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Tennis Championships on Friday at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, Pa. SLU now advances to play an opponent to be determined at 5 p.m. (CT) on Saturday. The best the Billikens can finish is fifth place.

SLU (14-9) claimed the doubles point after wins from Katerina Lozanova and Tara Grant at No. 1 doubles and Ana Renda and Amanda Hellberg at the No. 2 slot.

Charlotte was able to clinch the match after wins at Nos. 2-5 singles.
