Junior outside hitter Tatyana Menshikova (Ivanovo, Russia / College of Southern Idaho) was named today to the 2005 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Northeast Region honorable mention team.

The 6-3 hitter finished the season with 575 kills to rank seventh on the SLU single-season chart and was a first-team All-Atlantic 10 selection. Menshikova also added 80 blocks, 164 digs and 22 aces this season. She reached double figures in kills in every match this season and had at least 20 kills on 13 occasions. Menshikova had a season-high 32 kills in a match against Illinois State and led the league in kills per game.

The Billikens closed out their first volleyball season in the Atlantic 10 conference with a 14-16 record overall, 6-7 in the A-10. The Billikens finished third in the West Division and posted the fifth-best league record with six wins.
