Lyndon B. Gross, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Lyndon Gross is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and team physician for the Saint Louis Billikens covering all team sports. He began his private practice in St. Louis in 1999, specializing in Sports Medicine as well as the surgical treatment of shoulders, knees and elbows.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Gross attended Cornell University where he participated in intercollegiate football and was awarded the Coach's MVP award his senior year. He continued his medical education at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he obtained a doctorate in molecular biology and graduated cum laude.

Gross completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala., under the direction of Dr. James Andrews and Dr. William Clancy. While at the Institute, he gained clinical and operative experience, treating many high school, college and professional athletes.
