THE BASICS

Abby Mallo drove in three runs, including a solo home run, to lead Saint Louis to a 9-3 victory over Southeast Missouri State Wednesday evening at the Billiken Sports Center.

Anna Christ collected two RBIs and pitched two scoreless relief innings to register her sixth win of the season.
•SLU improved to 17-20 with its third consecutive victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
•After SEMO scored a run in the top of the first inning, Saint Louis answered with two tallies in its half of the opening frame.
Karsen Jany singled with one out and stole second with two away. Christ followed a walk to
Bella Stephens with a two-run double.
•The Redhawks regained the lead with two runs in the third, but Mallo's leadoff home run – her team-leading sixth homer of the season and 49th of her career – evened the score at 3-3 in the bottom half.
•The Bills broke it open in the fifth. After Mallo and Stephens singled to begin the inning, pinch runner
Moira Falli moved to third on a flyout and swiped home on a double steal with Stephens.
Kate Proffitt reached on a fielder's choice that saw Stephens advance to third on a throwing error, and
Ava Wombles' groundout brought home Stephens. Proffitt stole third and scored on
Sophia Boente's infield single.

Abby Ulsas walked to load the bases, and a walk to Jany made it 7-3. Mallo capped the scoring with a two-run single, her second hit of the inning and third of the game.
